37 hours per week, including weekend work, salary £18,000.

Newham City Farm was established in 1977 and continues to be a popular visitor attraction for those wanting to learn about and get close to animals in a local park setting. The farm is seeking to recruit enthusiastic team players who can demonstrate a knowledge of, an interest in and the capability to undertake the physical work required in the care of animals. A high degree of awareness of the needs of customers and the appropriate communication skills will also be important.

You will display an understanding of the needs of children and other groups in relation to the operation of a city farm, along with the ability to encourage participation from people of all ages and backgrounds in various activity programmes and events. The role will include working regular early mornings, evenings, and statutory holidays to meet the needs of the service.
