ARI Good sites guide

Mary Dwight in her colourful plot at Hayley's Field allotments. Winner of best newcomer in Leeds City Council competition 2004.This directory lists allotment sites exhibiting good practice or innovative regeneration, region by region. A site profile, contact name, phone number and suitable times for visits are provided for each entry.

The guide was published in 2003 when there were a small number of fully regenerated sites in the UK. Now, in 2009, there are a large number of regenerated sites throughout the UK – too many to include in one publication!

We suggest that you also contact your local ARI Mentor for advice on additional regenerated sites in your region to visit.

Allotment associations kindly nominated their sites for inclusion in the guide and have generously hosted many visits since publication. ARI did not inspect any of the sites and ‘approve’ them for entry.
