 ects of climate change are being seen by horticult
 uralists\, farmers and community gardeners across 
 the globe. During Summer 2026 many community garde
 ns in Wales struggled to keep crops alive\, experi
 encing extreme and sustained high temperatures\, v
 ery little rainwater\, a decline in beneficial ins
 ects\, lower volumes of food than previous years -
  and local wildfires. And we expect to see further
  weather extremes as we move into the winter month
 s. </p>\n \n <p>Join Ann and John Owen at Einion’s
  Garden to learn methods to help us adapt to clima
 te change in our community gardens in Ceredigion\,
  and build local food resilience in our communitie
 s\, as global food prices rise. Come ready to lear

 nn have been growing veg for the local market sinc
 e 2010 after becoming increasingly worried about t
 he collision of the effects of climate change\, pe
 ak resources and economic downturns. Our food syst
 em is incredibly fragile and highly dependent on i
 mported fresh produce. Increasing local production
  of food not only lowers emissions\, it creates jo
 bs and starts re-building a thriving local food ec
 onomy. Einion's Garden was started on a shoestring
  budget\, using permaculture thinking and methods 
 to tackle some of the many challenges on the boggy
 \, north facing plot. Over the years\, we've adapt
 ed to growing with increasingly chaotic weather pa
 tterns by changing methods\, incorporating redunda
 ncy\, irrigation and covers. It remains an ongoing
  experiment! </p>\n \n <hr />\n <p><span style="fo
