What is it about?
This free networking event is for community growing projects, other individuals and organisations interested in community growing. It is an opportunity for people to come together to share skills, knowledge and information, and learn more about the benefits of community growing projects.
Programme:
9:30 - Registration, project mapping, tea and coffee.
10:00 - Welcome and introductions
10:30 - Case Studies from community gardening projects and questions, including Good for Ewe and the Cyrenians (TBC).
11:30 - Break
11:45 - Workshops:
a) Outdoor cooking and fun and engaging ways to share food in a community garden setting (FCFCG)
b) Community gardening, health and wellbeing - looking further at ways to link community gardening with health (Cyrenians)
c) Sensory gardening (Trellis)
13:00 - Lunch
14:00 - Site Visit to Glachbeg (Black Isle) and other projects. Transport including.
16:00 - Return to Town Hall and end
This event is free. To ensure space for everyone we request a maximum of two people per organisation / department attend.
