The event is a two hour session focusing on how community supported agriculture (CSA) is thriving in the Gower through the endeavours of Cae Tan CSA.  It will be an opportunity to learn about the story of Cae Tan from its grower Tom O’Kane and of its very recent success in securing new land to further develop the enterprise.  Cae Tan is working with the Ecological Land Coop (ELC) to support the development of sustainable farming on the Gower.  The ELC purchased 18 acres of prime land in December 2017 ready for Cae Tan to start cultivating for the 2018 season.  Access to this land ensures the long term sustainability of Cae Tan being able to supply one hundred percent of vegetables and salads to its members without having to buy in any produce.  It creates more training & volunteering opportunities, as well as the possibility for the expansion of sustainable land based enterprise on the wider site in coming years. The tour will take in the existing Cae Tan operation as well as seeing the new land.

Please note that Cae Tan does not have sheltered meeting space therefore the meeting point will be the Gower Heritage Centre, Parkmill, Gower, Swansea, SA3 2EH where there will be an introduction and then attendees will car share to the Cae Tan site.
