Come learn about good volunteer management. From recruitment and policies, to training, managing expectations and celebrating their contribution.
Sponsored by Dobies and run by Social Farms & Garden, this training day is suitable for anyone working within a community growing setting particularly those managing volunteers. Using real life examples of good practice we will help you address the challenges of working with volunteers so that they, and your organisation, can thrive.
We will explore the principles of good volunteer management including recruitment, volunteer policies, training and retaining volunteers as well as some practicals such as expenses, insurance and safeguarding. There will be an opportunity to tour Arkwright Meadows and hear about how they are successfully working with volunteers.
