Growing a Healthy Community Garden: Don't Risk It! (Leeds)

An opportunity for anyone managing a community growing, garden or farm space to have any insurance worries answered by our partner McClarrons, followed by a session looking at managing risk within your setting.

Sponsored by Dobies and run by Social Farms & Gardens, this training day is suitable for anyone working within a community growing setting, particularly those with management or oversight responsibilities.

Where: Meanwood Valley Urban Farm

When:  Thursday 28th November 2019, 10.00am - 3.30pm (arrival from 9.30am).

Cost: £20 per person, including lunch. We would never want to exclude any organisation on the basis of cost. Contact Alison for more details:

Experienced and specialist insurance broker, McClarrons. will take the lead for the morning session talking delegates through the journey of securing the right insurance and explaining the wide array of products available - making sure you have the right level of cover. They will also offer a surgery where you can ask questions about your specific situation and needs.

Insurance doesn't negate the importance of good risk management, so the afternoon will be spent looking at examples and templates to build your confidence to effectively manage risk on your garden or farm.
