Insurance for Farms and Gardens

An opportunity for anyone managing an SF&G member organisation growing, garden or farm site to have any insurance worries answered by our partner McClarrons, followed by a session looking at managing risk within your setting.

Where: Meanwood Valley Urban Farm, Leeds

When:  Tuesday 24th March 2020, 10.00am - 3.30pm (arrival from 9.30am).

Cost: Free. However we do make a booking charge of £20 per person which includes lunch but we will refund this when you show up on the day. If you need to discuss this please contact  Alison for more details: [email protected] 

Insurance is a concern for many of our members - have you got the right level of cover, are you paying too much, what does your cover even mean? Experienced and specialist insurance broker, McClarrons. will take the lead for the morning session talking delegates through the journey of securing the right insurance and explaining the wide array of products available - making sure you have the right level of cover and understand why. They will also offer a surgery where you can ask questions about your specific situation and needs.

Insurance doesn't negate the importance of good risk management, so the afternoon will be spent looking at examples and templates to build your confidence to effectively manage risk on your garden or farm.

Booking notes:

• A simple lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please advise us of any dietary requirements on booking.
• This event is for representatives from SF&G members only. Membership is open to any organisation that provides benefits to individuals/communities by engaging them in meaningful land-based activities (such as community managed gardens and farms, or care farms).
