From measuring outcomes to measuring change - what this could mean for your care farm

In this webinar we will be talking about the complex area of measuring outcomes and measuring positive change (for your clients, your referrers, you, your staff team and beyond) and showing how a holistic approach - wider than measuring 'outcomes' can benefit your care farm or green care site. 

This is the first in a series of webinars on aspects of measuring outcomes and the session will be led by:

• Dr Rachel Bragg, our Care Farming Development Manager, who has over 20 years experience in evaluation of nature-based interventions and is considered an expert in the field of measuring outcomes in care farming and
• Green care and care farmer Sarah Giles, Director, FarmAbility (until December 2020) who will share her experiences and the journey of FarmAbility through outcome measurement.

The debate about outcome measurement in care farming and green care has been going around for a long time, and we know that many people find it quite difficult to decide on the best way to go about it and to navigate the enormous array of questionnaire and outcome measures that are available.

People providing commissioned services for individuals with a defined clinical, social care or educational need, often ask us 'Which outcome measure is best for care farming?' Unfortunately as there is so much variation between what care farms do, for whom and how,  there is no one right answer! - But there are some guiding principles and some tips and tools for choosing the right approach for your set up.
