Decarbonise your life - Carbon Literacy Training

Where: Secret Garden Cafe Education Centre, Cardiff CF10 3DX

When: 15th October 10:30am to 4:00pm

Is it more effective to drive less or eat less meat and dairy?  Is my woodburner carbon neutral?  Is eating seasonally the answer and how many holidays by plane is too many for the planet?

Can we make a difference? Stakes are high and there is so much conflicting information out there it sometimes seems easier to bury our heads in the sand and hope for the best.

If you’d like to take some personal responsibility for how much carbon is produced by your lifestyle then this day is for you.  Even better it’s an accredited course from the Carbon Literacy project which will allow you to help other people in your community or workplace do the same.  Cut through the confusion and make a commitment to manage your own ‘carbon budget’ for the future of us all and our beautiful planet.

Please consider using public transport – each venue is a short bus ride and a ten minute walk from the train station.   We recommend using Google Maps for travel information on the day. A low carbon lunch will be provided.

The Carbon Literacy Project aims to ensure that every citizen receives at least one day’s worth of training so that they understand the links between human activity and climate change while empowering individuals, communities and organisations to take action to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gasses.

The day is free to attend but booking is essential and it’s open to any staff, volunteers, members or customers of community growing projects in Wales.

Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
