Using Microsoft Teams for Environmental Education 

No, online education isn’t going away after Covid.  Learn how to confidently deliver engaging online classes using Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Classroom.  This will provide a firm foundation for building your digital presentation skills.  

Social Farms and Gardens, the London City Farms and Community Gardens Association, and the London Environmental Educators Forum (LEEF) are proud to offer “Video Conference Service training for Environmental Educators”

This bespoke training will be delivered by digital communications expert Sarah Dixon of Spider Creative.

Online, interactive environmental educational sessions are an increasingly important way to share our knowledge.  Everyday it seems there are new technologies and changes to the current platforms that can be confusing and hard to keep up with.

This foundational training will provide you with the basic principles and mechanisms to run successful, engaging video conference sessions.  It will improve your confidence and skill base, and you will be clear on how you can continue developing your skills after the session.

You have a choice of three workshops:

1. April 21^st 10-12am:  Zoom (Book this workshop by following this link)
2. April 21^st 2-4pm:  Microsoft Teams - Book by clicking the 'Register now' button on this page.
3. April 22^nd 10-12am: Google Classroom (Book this workshop by following this link)

Each class will include a brief overview of key benefits of all three platforms, should you wish to explore other options in the future.

You will need to attend this session on a laptop or desktop in order to follow along with the exercises, and all participants will be expected to know how to log into their account on the platform they have chosen.  

The cost for this training is £20 per workshop.  We’ve worked hard to keep the cost as low as possible, however, if you are a volunteer-led organisation, feel that you need this training but are unable to afford the cost, please contact [email protected].
