Conventional and organic vegetable box schemes have increased in popularity significantly over recent years and sales topped £100 million last year.

Ruth Evans an accountant who sits on the board for Cae Tan will be leading the session. She will outline different models of box schemes and the potential for income.
She will delve into the outgoings and costs of setting up and running a box scheme.

By managing the supply chain, yourself, you hang on to those profit margins which would normally go to the wholesaler or commercial buyer.

Once you have established a stable customer base, there is potential for tailoring your crop programme to fill your veg boxes, rather than growing speculatively for other direct retail outlets. In the same way, income and cash flow are potentially more predictable.

The session will finish with a Q & A giving you the opportunity to ask all our financial questions to do with successful running your own box schemes.
