Small care farm currently operating 2 days weekly; service users have learning difficulties and physical impairments.
The service provides opportunities for individuals to experience life and work in a real farm-based environment and we promote daily living, social and employment skills in a safe and fun environment.
The day service is for small groups and so offers opportunities for people to work on individual tasks or in smaller groups as well as promoting the importance of team work. Our clients get directly involved with work on the farm with activities ranging from (but not limited to!) mucking out, planting and growing vegetables, flowers and fruit, working with the animals and environment and lambing.
We are keen to support people to get involved with whatever crops up throughout the year, whatever their needs may be, to facilitate their learning and development. We promote and encourage people to work closely with the horses, goats, dogs and chickens (to name a few of our animals).
