Sturts Farm offer a range of opportunities for meaningful activities on a working farm, including day placement opportunities for adults who have learning difficulties or other support needs.

As an organic and Biodynamic farm, the land and animals are worked and cared for in as sustainable and harmonious way as possible. Day placements are involved with all aspects of running the farm and garden, including caring for our animals – cows (both beef and dairy), sheep, pigs and hens. We have a small Dairy where our cows are milked by hand. We also grow hay and field vegetables.

Our large market garden produces a variety of fruit and vegetable crops throughout the year, with polytunnels and a propagation greenhouse. Some of our produce is sold at our weekly market stall, and some is made into jams, pickles etc. in our food processing workshop.

The Social Enterprise team strive to create a mutually supportive environment where an individual's activities are tailored to suit their needs and interests, and where everyone has a part to play.
