We offer alpaca walking experiences for individuals, families, groups, community groups and people with additional needs. Your visit will start with a fascinating talk all about our fabulous animals. We then harness them up for a walk around our fields and beautiful farm - visiting our tame goats, donkeys, ponies, sheep, chickens, ducks and turkeys along the way. We finish with a 'goat petting' session or 'chick handling' depending on the season. We offer birthday parties, charity walks and community gatherings.

We also offer animal assisted activities for schools, individuals, families, community groups and people with additional needs. We devise an appropriate programme which is executed over an agreed period of time (normally six weeks) Our assisted activity programme is very 'hands on' which allows people with a broad range of additional needs to learn, enjoy and grow in their understanding, communication skills, self worth and sense of achievement.

Our gentle and beguiling alpacas are the perfect animal for animal assisted activities as they really work with the individual to build a sense of belonging and acceptance, whilst providing a sense of calm and well being. Alpacas work particularly well with children with additional needs such as ADHD, autism and communication and emotional issues. Their gentle nature 'rubs off' on the client and it's normally smiles all round within a few minutes of being in contact with our wonderful animals.

Our tame goats are also fabulous for people of all ages. They're happy to walk on a lead and are often the perfect 'tour guides' for a trip around the farm to visit all of the other animals, many of them rescues. It's not unusual for a goat or two to join us in the classroom area to ' inspect' our visitors log books!

We are happy to work with any group or individual who feel they could benefit from our services - whether that's an alpaca walk with friends or a more structured programme for a group of people with additional needs.

We also take our alpacas 'off the farm' to visit people at their own venues. For example, care homes (where our alpacas are happy to travel up and down in the lift and visit people in their own bedrooms!), nursery schools, school fetes, hospices and work places.

Please email us for further information. We look forward to hearing from you.
