Resilient Green Spaces: Productive Community Orchards – The Launch!

You are invited to SF&G’s in-person launch of their Resilient Green Spaces Productive Community Orchards project.

Wednesday 3rd November: 1pm, Pant Du Vineyard and Orchard

We will meet for refreshments at Pant Du Vineyard and Orchard – a commercial operation who  started their journey in 2007 and located on the beautiful slopes of the Nantlle Valley, Snowdonia. Pant Du is a family run Vineyard and Orchard producing wine, cider, apple juice, spring water and honey with 18 acres of planted apple trees.

Pant Du will take us on a tour - we will hear how they have gone from planting to product and see their processing systems. Following this, we will meet for a short presentation on Productive Community Orchards and a Community Land Advisory Service (CLAS) workshop, plus plenty of opportunities to ask questions and network with other attenders.

This is your opportunity to get face-to-face with other organisations interested in developing Orchards and/or moving into orchard production, Social Farms & Gardens Wales team members, visit a successful orchard business, and ask any questions you may have about the Resilient Green Spaces project and Productive Community Orchards. We have arranged the winter Community Supported Agriculture CSA Cluster meet-up for Tuesday 2 and Weds 3 November and hope some CSA members will join us at Pant Du.  We very much look forward to meeting with you.

Resilient Green Spaces is a £1.27m partnership project being led by Social Farms & Gardens to pilot alternative re-localised food systems using communities and their green spaces as the driving force for change across Wales until June 2023. The project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.

Byddwn yn cyfarfod am luniaeth yng Ngwinllan a Pherllan Pant Du – ymgyrch fasnachol a ddechreuodd eu taith yn 2007 a leolir ar lethrau hardd Dyffryn Nantlle, Eryri.  Mae Pant Du yn Winllan a Pherllan sy'n cael ei rhedeg gan y teulu sy'n cynhyrchu gwin, seidr, sudd afal, dŵr ffynnon a mêl gyda 18 erw o goed afalau wedi'u plannu.

Bydd Pant Du yn mynd â ni ar daith - byddwn yn clywed sut maent wedi mynd o blannu i gynnyrch a gweld eu systemau prosesu. Yn dilyn hyn, byddwn yn cyfarfod am gyflwyniad byr ar Berllannau Cymunedol Cynhyrchiol a gweithdy Gwasanaeth Cynghori ar Dir Cymunedol (CLAS), ynghyd â digon o gyfleoedd i ofyn cwestiynau a rhwydweithio â mynychwyr eraill.

Dyma'ch cyfle i ddod wyneb yn wyneb â sefydliadau eraill sydd â ddiddordeb mewn datblygu Perllannau a/neu mentro fewn i gynhyrchu. Rydym wedi trefnu cyfarfod Clwstwr Amaeth a Chefnogir gan y Gymuned AGG ar gyfer dydd Mawrth 2 a dydd Mawrth 3 Tachwedd ac rydym yn gobeithio y bydd rhai aelodau yn ymuno â ni ym Mhant Du.
