Do you want to learn about the recent Scottish land reforms and how they are empowering communities to own and manage land and buildings? Could these changes be applied in Wales?

Where: Glyndŵr University, 1887 Restaurant, Plas Coch Campus, Mold Road, Wrexham LL11 2AW

When: Tuesday 14th November 2017, 11am to 3 pm

This event is an opportunity to learn about land reforms in Scotland as Calum MacLeod from Community Land Scotland visits Wales to tell us about the communities now benefitting from owning and managing their own land.

Calum, funded by the Carnegie UK Trust, will share Community Land Scotland experiences of new community land rights across Scotland. We will hear case studies of community land owners and managers who are benefitting from the land ownership changes north of the English Border. There will also be an insightful walking tour by Incredible Edible Wrecsam, of the food growing projects at our event venue -  the Wrexham Glyndwr University Grounds. There will be a free lunch and then an opportunity to discuss how such changes could be applied in Wales:

•             What are the barriers and potential benefits?

•             Is there an appetite for more community land ownership and management in Wales?

•             What support for communities and landowners might be needed going forward in Wales?

This event is for community groups, practitioners and local authorities embarking on the transfer of land for community use. Also, those engaged in the development of policy and guidance on community ownership and management of land will be interested to attend.

Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. Please read our cancellation policy

Ydych chi eisiau dysgu am y deddfau diwygio tir diweddar yn yr Alban a sut maen nhw’n grymuso cymunedau i fod yn berchen ar dir ac adeiladau a’u rheoli? Allai’r newidiadau hyn gael eu cyflwyno yng Nghymru?

Ble: Prifysgol Glyndŵr, Bwyty 1887, Campws Plas Coch, Ffordd yr Wyddgrug, Wrecsam LL11 2AW

Pryd: Dydd Mawrth 14 Tachwedd 2017, 11am i 3pm

Mae’r digwyddiad hwn yn gyfle i chi ddysgu o brofiadau personol Calum MacLeod, Community Land Scotland, o’r deddfau diwygio tir diweddar yn yr Alban wrth iddo ymweld â Chymru.

Gyda chymorth ariannol Ymddiriedolaeth Carnegie y DU, mae Calum yma i rannu profiadau Community Land Scotland o’r hawliau tir cymunedol newydd wrth iddynt barhau i weithio i gynrychioli’r genhedlaeth newydd o dirfeddianwyr cymunedol, sy’n rheoli oddeutu 500,000 erw o dir yn yr Alban yn gasgliadol.

Darperir cinio rhad ac am ddim a bydd cyfle i drafod sut byddai modd cyflwyno’r fath newidiadau yng Nghymru:

  • Beth yw’r rhwystrau a’r manteision posibl?
  • Oes yna gefnogaeth ar gyfer mwy o rymuso cymunedol yng Nghymru?
  • Pa gymorth sydd eu hangen i gymunedau a thirfeddianwyr yng Nghymru wrth symud ymlaen?

Mae’r digwyddiad hwn ar gyfer ymarferwyr a thirfeddianwyr sy’n ymwneud â throsglwyddo tir i gymunedau a datblygu deddfwriaeth, polisi a chanllawiau perchnogaeth a rheolaeth tir cymunedol.

Yn ogystal, bydd y digwyddiad hwn o ddiddordeb i sefydliadau cymunedol sydd yn y broses o sicrhau tir (neu sydd wedi cwblhau’r broses yn ddiweddar).

Mae lleoedd yn gyfyngedig, felly trefnwch le yn gynnar i osgoi cael eich siomi. Darllenwch ein polisi canslo
