As in previous years, the event will be of great interest and use whether you are a Head teacher, adviser, school farm teacher, parent or anyone wishing to consider starting a school farm.
Due to the uncertainties of Covid-19 and feedback from many teachers and support staff that they will not be allowed to travel to attend events, this year the conference will be online; so no matter where you live you can join in!
The programme will run from 12:00 -15.30 on Friday 2nd July with a mixture of presentations and workshops. You will be able to contribute and ask questions through the online chat facility and everything will be recorded for you to revisit. On Saturday 3rd July the day will run from 09.30 - 12.30.
Registration will only cost £20 whether you plan to attend one or both days. Book your place using the button at the bottom of this page.
Join in - send us videos of your school farm
We are inviting school farms to share a glimpse of your farm and activities through video clips to help build relationships, share your experiences, and celebrate diversity. We will use these short farm tour videos during the conference to demonstrate your work and the terrific range of school farms. Those not shown during the conference will be made available across the network (via website or other media tbc).
If you are able to help with this, you can decide how to best present your farm, activities and benefits but your video should:
Clearly identify your organisation and location (town)
Be of 3 minutes maximum length (you may produce more than one video, but each must be no longer than 3 minutes)
Show at least some, if not all, your farm site and facilities
Include young people, preferably with some presenting commentary or being interviewed
Have ensured that you have sought permission for publication from all recognisable individuals.
You can share your video by sharing a link to it from YouTube or from your website, or via Dropbox, WeTransfer etc. Send your link to: email@example.com at the latest by Friday 14 May 2021.
