Growing Middlesbrough
SF&G was commissioned to produce a website and a cook book as part of the Growing Middlesbrough project - an initiative to improve access to local food that has been grown or produced within 50 miles of Middlesbrough. It acts as a network of local food producers, retailers and enthusiasts that work together to satisfy customer demands.
This is Middlesbrough’s strategy for bringing healthy, local and affordable food to the people in the town. It is supported by a range of organisations that include Middlesbrough Environment City, Middlesbrough Council, Teesside University and Middlesbrough College and forms part of Middlesbrough’s status as a Sustainable Food City. Growing Middlesbrough is managed by the One Planet Middlesbrough: Creating Sustainable Communities project, funded by a Big Lottery grant through the Communities Living Sustainably initiative.
