A small group of dedicated people working to purchase the former St. Anne’s church and memorial hall and create Ynys y Werin- a centre for activities and services at the very heart of the community.
We want to set up a community garden in our outdoor area for people who struggle with their mental health and need somewhere to focus to their energy. We also want to encourage children to grow and understand where their food comes from.
Facilities: Volunteering, Community space for hire, Picnic area, Community recycling/composting, Wildlife area
What events and activities do you have planned for the day?
Members of our newly formed Gardening Club will be showing off their potato seedlings (planted a few weeks prior). We are also hoping to have made some progress with the flower/ raised beds and will be planting some pollinator friendly flowers! Everyone in attendance will also have something to take home with them for the garden - seeds/ seedlings etc. Or they can plant some calendula or salad seeds ready to take home.
Will you be open on the day?
Yes, with social distancing in place and following all Welsh Government guidelines.
