A beautiful community garden with lots of scents, colours and variety even though Phase 1 is small. There are two raised beds, one high enough for wheelchair users. There will be a small circular seating area with rustic benches and a wonderful view of the Bays, containers for demonstrations of vegetable growing, herbs, flowers and soft fruits around borders.

The aims and objectives of the Friary Community Garden, are: To provide, maintain or improve the public areas or other public amenity in the vicinity of a landfill site where it is for the protection of the environment; To encourage the goodwill and involvement of the wider community and to foster community spirit; To support, develop and manage community gardens for the purposes of civic pride, environmental improvement and community education in Inverkeithing and the local area; To promote biodiversity and wildlife; To reach out and engage disadvantaged groups in gardening and related skills thus enhancing self-confidence.
