Newham City Farm
Newham City Farm was established in 1977 offering educational and leisure activities for the community. A wide collection of farm animals has been built up over the years including a number of rare breeds. The farm hosts school visits, runs adult and young volunteer schemes, and takes on work experience and college placements. It also works with adults with learning and other physical disabilities on gardening and animal care projects. A visitor centre provides classroom facilities and display room.
Summer: Tuesday - Sunday, 10am - 5pm. Winter: Tuesday - Sunday, 10am - 4pm. Closed Mondays, except bank holidays.
Horse (Shire), ponies,donkeys cattle (Red Poll, Dexter), sheep (Portland. miniature Southdown sheep), pigs (Berkshire, kune kunes), poultry, goats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, birds of prey (Indian Rock Eagle owl, Harris Hawk).
