St Christophers school now has permanent Eco School status and believes strongly in bringing the environment into the classroom. Pupils have access to a market gardening and woodcraft business along with the off-site environmental centre which is used by students, partners and the public. The garden was created by school children aged 5 to 19 with guidance from staff and specialist environmental support from outside the school. Garden contains pond, seating, pergola, arbour, dry stone wall, fruit and herb area, sundial, gazebo, and is home to wildlife and other animals. They also sell the garden produce and plants.
The school has won numerous awards in the area of global citizenship, the environment and sustainability.
