The multi award winning Gardens Community Garden (GRA) opened in 2002 and was created from a derelict brown field site owned by Network Rail. The garden includes a paved area, descending raised beds featuring tree ferns, perennials and evergreen shrubs, play equipment, a community mosaic, willow sculptures and seating. The Gardens Residents Association (GRA) run events, promote community spirit and work for improvements in the local environment. The Garden has now won over 40 local and national awards including London In Bloom: Best Community Garden in London 2006 RHS: It's Your Neighbourhood- London in Bloom RHS: Our Community and The Green Flag Community Award since 2006 as well as Haringey Councils: Best Community Garden in Haringey
