24 acres of allotments on the sunny south side of Crystal Palace hill. A place of peaceful quiet in which individuals from all over the world work their own plots and enjoy the crops which they grow. We have a wildlife conservation area based around an ancient pond. We also have an area specially adopted for use by disabled gardeners. We have a small hall which is popular with the local community as a venue for childrens parties and can be used by other groups. Electricity is generated by a wind turbine on the site which is often visited by school parties and other groups who wish to learn about wind generation.

We are very community oriented in that for the last twenty years we have only accepted plotholders who live within two km from the site and give preference for plots to those who live within one Km. We only provide services to our own members but non plotholders can join the society for a subscription of £2 per year. Six hundred or so of our neighbours think it is worthwhile to be a member. Our distribution centre/shop is as well stocked as a small garden centre and usually cheaper. We do not sell allotment produce, most plotholders seem to have vast extended families so surpluses are rare. We sell honey from our beekeepers and in season thousands of plants raised by volunteers.
