Starting in April 2015 the Climate Challenge Funding we were awarded has been utilised to create a new community garden in the grounds of Wallacewell Church , Balornock, Glasgow. The project is working to increase interest, skills and knowledge in the local community around food growing, cooking and sharing. In addition to the community garden there is an outdoor playscape and sensory garden and the plan is to encourage interest in the environment generally with a focus on improving mental and physical health and wellbeing and environmental stewardship. We hope to become an outdoor learning hub in the north east of Glasgow.
