The Power of Food Festival showcases community food growing around Edinburgh & celebrates the amazing people who breathe life into neighbourhoods through their work in and around the gardens. Its purpose is to encourage greater societal wellbeing, environmental sustainability and social inclusion through the promotion of community food growing. Since the launch in 2015, 40 gardens have participated in the Festival. It's entirely free, volunteer-run and doesn't receive any grant funding.

The Power of Food Festival has been created to:
