Serpentine Community Garden Society CIO is a charity focused on practical horticulture. Our site is an old Council depot and plant nursery site in the centre of Buxton. It was established in March 2015, with the main objectives as follows: 1) To restore the area to a functioning market garden, producing fruit, herbs and vegetables for sale in local venues, plus a share for volunteers; 2) to evolve into a training and teaching centre involved in experimental, demonstration and horticultural projects; 3) to involve the wider community in using the site to its best potential.
