Our activities come from our overarching belief that everyone deserves the right to work.
Our primary aim is to help people with severe and complex barriers (learning disabilities, autism & mental ill health) to transition into meaningful work. This supports the most socially and economically alienated local people make the often-fragile journey towards inclusion in our local community.
CheckIn was set up to help groups that were overlooked, denied opportunities and not integrated into the local community. Its subsidiary, Giraffe, was set up as there were no employers in the local area who were able to offer supported employment or work experience opportunities. Here we do not have our trainees waiting in a training centre - instead, they are placed into supported work experience in our enterprises from day one - this includes two cafes, a walled garden and an activity centre
