This project, which plans to start an open access community orchard in centre of the village of Ovingham, has been awarded a grant from the Tree Council to plant 24 apple trees. A committee has been formed to oversee the project. and the site will be fully accessible and open to everyone in the village, with fruit available for all. The group will work to improve the site (a former grazing field) to increase its potential for people and wildlife alike.
