Taking Root is collaborative network of 23 community gardens, growing and food projects in South Sefton, uniting in ways of working to create a new food and resource economy for everyone. Facilitated by Regenerus and supported by Well Sefton (a Public Health initiative), our innovative activities are successful due to the dedication and commitment of two local social enterprises: Lotus Brook and The Gateway Collective, who enthusiastically engage and encourage volunteers, spot opportunities for exciting collaborations and through hard work and perseverance make things happen.
We directly support volunteers to identify and design plots, plan growing and secure resources and continue to maintain their gardens.
