As a family farm we are looking to diversify into care farming. We believe we are well suited to to this with a background in Occupational Therapy, Social Work and Teaching, with a generations of Capsey's having worked the farm. We are looking at three main groups of people to be supported by the farm: physically able people with dementia, younger adults with mental health difficulties and children at schools from disadvantaged backgrounds and learning disabilities.
We are primarily a dairy farm by background, however, we also keep horses, chickens, lambs and pigs. We would look to utilise our facilities to help support people build a sense of identity whist providing a hands on educational experience.
