A volunteer run Community Garden, leasing an abandoned recreational parkland from local authority,in West Dunbartonshire. We are beginners, following the organic, no dig, way of growing and have produced some wonderful harvests over the last few seasons. It is our continuing aim to sustain our off grid approach to gardening, as we learn how to enhance our living environment by understanding about bio-diversity, harvesting rainwater, composting. Engaging with the local community is key to how we shape the future of the community garden & we are adapting the community garden to offer wheelchair access pathways & raised bed areas enabling community garden group to widen our community reach and to help tackle loneliness and promote positive living and well-being.
