Moor House Adventure Centre, Durham Scouts
Moor House Adventure Centre is a provider of outstanding adventurous and educational activities and is owned by Durham Scouts, providing the headquarters for Durham Scout County. Our beautiful 19 acres of field and forest is used by schools, businesses, groups and individuals from all over the North East and beyond. Our tailor-made programmes are planned and delivered by experienced, fully-qualified staff. Whether someone wants to bring a science topic to life, plan an unforgettable day out, or abseil in their wedding dress, we put together the perfect package for their needs.
We are proud to be a part of the Scout Association and embrace their heritage of helping young people enjoy fun and adventure, learn new skills and become the active citizens of the future. We have an active volunteer membership and youth participants and are looking to further our offer to them with their input in creating a therapeutic garden and growing area.
