Green social prescribing: making it work for you (Online)

If you're confused by green social prescribing, join our Growing Care Farming team for a practical, friendly online session with top tips to take things forward.

Find out how green social prescribing is relevant to care farms, green care sites, city farms and community gardens. Learn how it works and how it's funded, as well as the barriers to becoming involved.

Open to anyone involved in care farming or green care, no matter what stage you're at or where you live. Join us to be part of the conversation and solution to moving green social prescribing onwards.

Member Webinar: Working With Local Authorities to Access Land

This webinar will be led by Lucie Taylor our Community Land Advisory Service Wales (CLAS Cymru) Coordinator who has been leading the CLAS Cymru programme since its inception in 2013.

Lucie will take us through some tips for working with local authorities and how best to go about acquiring land and gaining permissions from public bodies.

The session is for community groups looking to acquire or manage green spaces owned by a public body such as local councils. We will also touch on what structures might need planning permission.

Member Webinar: Gardens of Sanctuary

Refugee Week 2022 is June 20 - 26.

To mark this, our member webinar this month will be joined by City of Sanctuary to look at how gardens and farms can welcomee and work with people who have sought sanctuary in the UK - primarily refugees and asylum seekers - to create spaces of sanctuary.

We will also go through what becoming an accredited Garden of Sanctuary involves, how you can start that process, and how members are marking Refugee Week this year.
