An intro for those looking to get involved in community gardens and city farms in London. Come along and find out how and where to get started...

This FREE day course (including lunch) will cover food growing, composting and manure, working with volunteers in community settings and basic gardening skills and knowledge. The course will go on to signpost you to further accredited courses and training, helping set you off on the path to a successful career in this field.

So join us and learn about how you could make a career in community gardens or city farms.

Led by Stephen Mason (Community Gardener at Forest Gate Community Garden) who has over 25 years experience in setting up, running and working in community gardens and city farms, with additional materal from Amber Alferoff, SF&G London Learning and Development Manager. 

This is part of our work in to develop high quality training with SF&G members, and to facilitate staff of London’s farms and community gardens to deliver training. Forest Gate Community Garden will be leading the day, with SF&G London staff showing pathways into paid work in the community gardening sector.
