This webinar will look at how to start, manage and grow a fruitful network of community growing groups, taking lessons from the Edible Cardiff Network.
Edible Cardiff is a cross-city network with the aim of bringing together Community Growing Groups to share skills, resources, and increase the amount of food grown and the growing space available to groups in Cardiff. With regular growing festivals delivered in partnership, the project offers opportunities for small grants for groups, growing at home packs and a collective voice.
This webinar will look at the Network’s progress to date and cover some big ideas for food hubs and from ‘plot to pantry’. Members will learn best practice from the network, gian insight into development of our The National Lottery application (including the consultation), and how we’re hoping to expand food solidarity across the city whilst generating a sustainable income for groups.
Our monthly webinars for SF&G members take place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month, 2-3pm and are part of the free package of benefits that members have access to. Non-members may also attend for £10.
Recordings of past webinars are made available on our website. Webinars are hosted on Zoom which is free to access.
