Members webinar: Gardens of Sanctuary - Find out more

Gardens of Sanctuary is an initiative to inspire, support and promote the use of community growing spaces as places of welcome for people seeking sanctuary in the UK.

What: Delivered by SF&G and City of Sanctuary

Who: Anyone who wants to provide a more welcoming experience for people in the UK asylum system, and organisations working with refugees and asylum seekers who would like to get involved in gardening, farming and/or growing activities.

When: Wednesday 31st March 2021,11 am -12pm

What to expect on the day:

  • The session will provide background information about the UK's asylum process and how this can impact those living in the system, as well as the vital and unique opportunities to find community, improve mental and physical health and to learn and share skills offered by community growing spaces.
  • We will also take you briefly through the process to become an accredited Garden of Sanctuary.
