What: As it is not possible to meet face to face at the moment, we have set up these friendly and informal monthly meetings as a chance to see and meet other care farmers in person but remotely!  
Who: The meetings are not regionally based, they are open to anyone involved in care farming regardless of where they live or what stage they are at.

30th June 2021 - GCF Care Farming Awareness Event - South of England

What: Join us to discuss how the Growing Care Farming project can support the growth of care farming and the development of peer support networks in the South of England. Hear from several South of England based care farms and take part in a Q&A session with our knowledgeable panel.

24th June 2021 - GCF Themed Webinar - Care Farming for Education

What: June's themed webinar will focus on how care farming can be used to deliver educational services. Dr Rachel Bragg will provide an update on Growing Care Farming's exciting work with Countryside Classroom and how this should improve connections between education professionals and care farms. We will also hear from Rob Gaylor about the education and alternative provison programme at Lambourne End Centre for Outdoor Learning in Essex.

7th June - Yorkshire and Humber Care farming Network meeting

What: This online meeting, chaired by Robin Asquith from Camphill Village Trust, is part of a regular programme of bi-annual meetings of this independent network. These meetings are an opportunity to provide peer support and develop relationships across the care farming sector in the Yorkshire & Humber region.
Who: This event is designed for care farmers, prospective care farmers and others from 'green care' sites in the Yorkshire and Humberside region.

2nd June - GCF Cumbria Care Farmer Health Briefing

What: Cumbria Voluntary Service (CVS) Health Partnerships Manager Clare Edwards will be sharing information on the links between third sector organisations and the health system. The session will include key details about GP based social prescribers, health coaches and care co-ordinators based in the county. 
Who: This is an opportunity for Cumbria-based care farmers and prospectives to network and learn more about navigating the often-complex health system.

What: In this webinar care farmer Jim Bowen will speak about his journey in farming; from the family run organic farm, through various diversifications to what is now Clynfyw Care Farm CIC. 16th December 2020 - GCF Themed Webinar - Governance: How should I set up my care farming enterprise?

What: In this themed webinar we will address the complexities of possible governance options for care farmers (and other green care service providers). This is something that many prospective care farmers raise with us, so the webinar will highlight the importance of the right governance set up, the various options available to care farmers, and the advantages and requirements of each.The session will be led by Karen McGarrity, Development Officer for Redcar & Cleveland Voluntary Development Agency who has extensive experience advising and supporting the establishment of community groups and charitable enterprises. Karen is also a trustee of a local youth charity.

17th November 2020 - GCF Themed Webinar - Surviving the winter; activities and tips for the cold winter months

What: Although some of our members have managed to re-open this summer and autumn by making maximum use of their outdoor spaces, many are now facing questions around how they can continue to deliver their services as winter approaches. In this themed webinar we will present advice, hints and tips from experienced care farmers and community gardeners as to how to keep your service users, volunteers and staff safe, warm and engaged during this most difficult season for working outdoors.

4th November 2020 - GCF Online Code Q & A Session

What: This online Question and Answer session is a opportunity for anyone who has enrolled in the care farming Code of Practice application process to ask questions or for clarification , from a Code Assessor and GCF staff to enable them to complete their application form. 
Who: Members of SF&G, who are enrolled in the Code of Practice process and are either working towards the Code or have achieved it. (If you are unsure as to whether this applies to you, then you can check with Pearl on codeadmin@farmgarden.org.uk)

19th October 2020 - GCF Themed Webinar - Developing your own care farming qualifications using AQA

What: Are you looking for ways in which to provide more structure and a sense of achievement or reward for your care farm service users? In this themed webinar Lucy Thornton of Thornwood Alpacas and Care Farm will outline her experience and how she has designed and delivered her own AQA qualifications with young people on her care farm and how these have contributed to service user's feelings of achievement and wellbeing.

10th September 2020 - GCF Themed Webinar - What is Crowdfunding and how can it help our care farm?

What:  This webinar is about 'crowdfunding', designed to help you decide whether it can be used as an alternative way of raising funds and the profile of your care farm. Many organisations (including care farms and other organisations delivering green care) have experienced a loss of income due to the Covid-19 pandemic and are looking to explore alternative sources of funding such as ‘Crowdfunding.’ In this webinar, Anthony de Souza from the Crowdfunding Mastery Academy will talk us through what it is, the pros and cons of this approach and how to make it work for your organisation.

14th July 2020 - GCF Themed Webinar - Reducing COVID-19 Risks & Re-opening your care farm

What: With lockdown restrictions gradually being eased many care farms are hoping to open their doors again to service users, but it's essential that they think about how to ensure they also reduce the risks related to COVID-19. This webinar will talk through a new checklist which has been developed by the GCF team and care farming Code of Practice assessors to enable care farms to confidently review their working practices and put measures in place to reduce risks before re-opening.

5th May 2020 - GCF Themed Webinar - Creative engagement on Social Media

11th February 2020 - GCF Regional event - Funding information session - Sheffield

What: Do you have little or no experience of fundraising? Do you need help and advice on finding and securing suitable funding for your care farm? This event is will provide some of the basic skills and knowledge required to access different funding sources. The GCF team and invited speakers will be on hand to provide an introduction to the variety of different sources of funding available and where to find the information.
