Location: Helmsdale Kitchen Garden Project, Sutherland
Hours: Part-time 21 hours per week
Salary: £23,400 - £25,500 FTE (pro rata 21 hours, based on experience)
Contract: This post is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and it is for a fixed-term of 2 years
Helmsdale & District Development Trust is acting on behalf of the Helmsdale Kitchen Garden Group who are looking to recruit an energetic and self-motivated individual to work as part of the Kitchen Garden Team to deliver workshops and work hands-on to develop our community garden.
The successful candidate will work with the Kitchen Garden Group, and the wider community, to develop and implement an education programme and to provide the community with a sustainable resource for healthy food. You will have a good understanding of environmental and food production issues affecting fragile rural areas and will be IT literate. A relevant qualification or prior experience in the delivery of a horticultural project would be advantageous, as would a knowledge and affinity for the locality. The ability to work on your own initiative is essential.
