Our extensive education program has been developed in response to demand and has grown considerably in recent years, and we have established partnerships with many local schools and education providers.

The Schools Officer is responsible primarily for the booking and administration, session development and delivery, monitoring and reporting for Stepney City Farm’s schools programme for Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 2 (primary school) groups.

The post holder is also responsible for the development and delivery of additional educational projects such as after-school clubs, the continued development of a family volunteering offer, and the sale and delivery of our best-practice egg incubation projects for local schools, which generate income in support of the Farm’s charitable activities. In addition, there is scope for the post holder to be trained up to cover annual leave for the Farm’s Youth Officer, delivering the Farm’s Sunday Young Volunteer sessions (ages 12-17).

The successful candidate will have experience of environmental education with primary aged children in a community setting, and a track record of meeting delivery targets and reporting impact. They should have a flexible and responsive approach and the willingness to respond to new opportunities for working with schools.
