The Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens in Northern Ireland has been awarded funding for the next two years from Big Lottery Fund's People and Communities programme.

The grant will help FCFCG undertake an exciting project called Growing Resilience – designed in consultation with community growers - to help strengthen the sector across Northern Ireland and bring community growing groups together to share skills and experiences.

Susan Lynn, FCFCG Northern Ireland Development Coordinator said: “Community growers across Northern Ireland have told us that they need this type of program to help them be more resilient in the face of challenges.  The project will also support the creation of a network of community growers, and help to develop this into a thriving and self sustaining grass roots organisation.”
