COVID-19 Hero Award

When the COVID-19 restrictions hit the UK in March we took the decision to put our 40th Anniversary Awards, sponsored by McClarrons, on hold. We received around 200 entries across the seven categories and it was wonderful to hear about all the amazing individuals, organisations and activities supporting people to connect with nature throughout the UK.

If 2020 has taught us one thing, it's that activities can be delivered in alternative ways so we are planning a virtual awards ceremony to reveal the winners of all seven categories in March 2021. Winners will be invited to a reception at the House of Lords once a rescheduled date has been confirmed.

We have also decided to add one additional award category to recognise the incredible impact that your organisations have had on their local communities, beneficiaries and wider issues.

Nominations are open to any group that is improving the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities and the environment through nature-based activities. Nominations will close at midnight on Sunday 31st January, 2021. Judging will be carried out based on the information provided in the nominations form. Please ensure the contact details provided are accurate as these will be used to notify winners. Winners will be announced at a special virtual ceremony and winners will be invited to attend a reception at the House of Lords (date TBC).
