SF&G Bids Farewell to Director Chris Blythe

News item first posted on: 07/01/22

chris-blythe.jpgChris Blythe, Social Farms & Gardens Director since April 2017, has left the organisation for new and different opportunities.
Preceding his appointment as Director Chris served as a trustee, and along with the board helped oversee the organisation, then named The Federation of City Farms & Community Gardens, merge with Care Farming UK, to become the charity we now know as Social Farms & Gardens.
During Chris's time as Director the organisation has grown in terms of membership, staffing and turnover, whilst navigating the very challenging issues created by the Covid-19 pandemic.
With a passion for the community growing groups in his home town of Birmingham, Chris will be remembered especially for his fondness for a certain allotment cat!
We would like to thank Chris for his time with Social Farms & Gardens, and for the part he played in all that the organisation has achieved over the past five years. We wish him all the very best for the future.
