Friendly community garden open every Monday and Friday to anyone who would like to grow fruit, vegetables and flowers, participate in construction and maintenance projects and enjoy the garden as a peaceful and welcoming place. We manage the site organically, incorporate permaculture principles and try to reuse and repurpose objects. Protecting and encouraging wildlife is important; Allens Cross has wild areas as well as an apiary and a bee education centre, in which primary schools are invited to visit and learn more about the importance of protecting pollinator species. No membership or experience required. Hot drinks and biscuits provided. The harvest is shared at the end of the day.
