London Grown is a food growing and education organisation based at a 7-acre woodland garden that sits on the edge of Enfield and Haringey boroughs. Living and working in North-East London we formed a workers co-operative in 2015 with backgrounds in youth work, education, community food-growing, care work, and adventure play.

The woodland garden is seven acres of previously neglected land on Queensland Avenue (gates at end) N18 1AT. We began clearing overgrowth and flytipping in 2016 and have since worked with 5 schools in gardening and nature play, had over 1000 volunteer visits, and set up growing beds producing garlic, squash, tomatoes, kohl rabi, callaloo + more!

In 2019 we run a weekly ‘seed to plate’ garden volunteering programme every Friday and second Saturday of the month 11am-4pm. We’re running sessions with three schools and there will be family fun days through the year.

Our not-for-profit organisation works around four keys aim; Education, Community space, Natural Food production, Equitable Livelihoods.
