ARK at Egwood is a Community Interest Company aiming to provide an engaging socially integrated environment where individuals can access specifically tailored services, which meet their own individual goals and aspirations.
The land-based environment also gives the opportunity to undertake therapeutic work and referrals for those with physical and emotional health issues, including those with a need to be more active, recovery after an operation or working through depression. There is a short fall in the support and treatment for Young People with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties and the need for this is unfortunately growing year on year.
Within the framework of the ARK project, there is the opportunity for those in the community who have skills and time that they would like to share to become volunteers. Many people who may have retired, or are unable to work for various reasons, have a wealth of knowledge and experience and are looking for a worthwhile way to stay active and contribute to the community they live in.
Provide opportunities to learn and explore the boundaries of what they can achieve, grow in confidence and self-esteem through supported, recognised and tangible achievements. Develop practical, transferable, personal, workplace and life skills while working within the community as part of a team.
Provide totally accessible and inclusive activities and facilities that deliver positive personal and social development through creative experiences and meaningful work at ARK and within the community.

ARK promotes social cohesion within our local communities, actively encouraging volunteers, and engaging with residents who are socially isolated, through assisting in household tasks, offering companionship and holding community events. ARK at Egwood, is actively seeking volunteers to assist in the conversion of a bus, boat and the land and woodland.
