Sliabh Dubh Polytunnel project is not a constituted group but is a local amenity in the grounds of Sliabh Dubh Dubh Manor in the area of Sliabh Dubh West Belfast. Sliabh Dubh is a Radius Housing development in West Belfast and is populated with 180+ families. The sheltered dwelling "Sliabh Dubh Manor" is the home of a large polytunnel which will be of use to the Community of Sliabh Dubh. To date the polytunnel is being used by a small group of individuals who live in the Manor. However, it was planned that the greater community would have had delivery of gardening sessions in and around the Polytunnel April onwards. However lock down put a stop to that, the residents in the Sheltered dwelling have been able to avail of the site as it is situated at the back of their dwelling but the plan is the Manor Residents will plant and grow in the meantime and it will be of benefit to the greater community. This group of age 60+ are keen to get on with things and opportunity to access funds to carry on would be of immense benefit.
