We are dedicated and passionate about the health benefits that gardening, horticulture and spending time in nature can bring. We want to reach out to people who have ill health, feel isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable and give them access to our beautiful sensory garden. Research shows that gardening or being in nature can benefit personal health and wellbeing.

You can choose to visit the 6 different areas in the garden to wander, read, relax, listen and just be. It is a calming place to stimulate the senses and allow us to escape for a period of time from our busy worlds.

You can choose to help learn about gardening and take part in sowing seeds, planting and propagating. Using plants and gardens improves our physical and mental health, as well as communication and thinking skills.

Regular therapeutic gardening sessions have 5 key benefits: Better physical health, improved mental health, reduction in isolation or feelings of exclusion, build confidence and self-esteem and just being outdoors.
