We are in the process of establishing a network of community market gardens in Wilmslow to start sustainable growing of local, healthy food for all. We want to increase the resilience of the food supply, encourage everyone to learn how to grow their own food, and improve the physical and mental health of the community while having fun and building new community partnerships. We have identified 3 sites so far. Oakenclough is our largest site, where we are in the process of preparing beds, setting up a polytunnel, and getting ready to plant soft fruit bushes and fruit trees. 2021 will be our first growing season.
